Junior Panthers (Kindergarten)
Is for all Bridgewater-Raritan resident boys and girls attending kindergarten for the school year starting in the fall of the current year.
On Saturday afternoons the kindergarten soccer games for Bridgewater Recreation will be at Soccer Centers in Somerset. (directions below)
At Soccer Centers our eight (8) week program will expose our kindergarteners to
non-competitive instructional games with training designed by Soccer Centers
"European Level I" trainers. Trainers and coaches will work with the players during
games assisting them in learning positions and maintaining spacing. Both coaches
and players will have a better understanding of soccer, creating a foundation for
future growth. Teams will be playing both inside (field turf) and outside (field turf) on
the fields at Soccer Centers. Teams will need to be prepared to play on both surfaces
each week (weather permitting). Games will never get cancelled due to weather
conditions and are played anywhere from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. Medals are provided
by Soccer Centers at the end of each season!
Junior Panthers (1st Grade)
Is for all Bridgewater-Raritan resident boys and girls currently in 1st grade for the school year starting in fall. On Saturday mornings the 1st grade soccer program will take place
outside at Adamsville School (Route 28/Union Ave).
The trainers from Soccer Centers will be on hand to referee games, site supervise,
work with the participants and coaches to further their soccer skills and knowledge!
Games are Saturdays anywhere from 8:30am to 2:00pm. IN case of inclement
weather, games will move to the late afternoon to be played inside at Soccer Centers
(directions below) or outside on their turf field. Game schedules will specify.
What is Soccer Centers? It is the largest state of the art bubble of its kind in the
tri-state area. A turf surface encompasses a total of 44,000 square foot area of
playing space.
To get to Soccer Centers (take I-287 to exit 12 at the end of the ramp, make a left
onto Weston Canal Road, at the first light make a left onto Cottontail Lane, go 7/10 of
a mile and make a right onto Memorial Drive, Soccer Centers will be ahead at the end
of the street - 300 Memorial Drive.)
